Delta chapter will be the host for a large year end mixer titled Nintendo Party scheduled for December 10th. Among those attending the party will be the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, and the Alpha Sigma Phi and Theta Tau fraternities. Also tagging along with the LTU DPhers will be the Delta Phi Epsilon chapter from The University of Michigan Dearborn campus. Everyone is looking forward to this event as they finish out the semester.

Fundraising for the Delta Chapter this semester started off with the Live Sports Radio fundraiser that was supplied to us through brother John Sammut. Delta went to the first five University of Michigan home football games and sold Live Sports Radios. Last year Delta made over $4000 and this year we made around $3000. We have many other fundraisers going on currently which include Entertainment Coupon books and online magazine sales. Delta Chapter is also very excited about a fundraiser that will be starting very soon which includes selling MonaVie all natural Energy Drinks. This fundraiser is predicted to bring in a lot of money for the Delta Chapter as selling begins in early 2010.

The Delta Chapter is now up to eighteen guys after the recent initiation of Devin Alioto, Patrick Atkins, Dave Bierl, and Blake Simpson on Saturday, November 14th. Their big brothers are Kevin Gravier, Chris Mattson, Josh Putman, and Nawras Shukri respectively. They are all happy to finally be members and are looking forward to meeting the next wave of pledges. Delta plans on keeping the momentum going and getting a similar sized pledge class for the spring 2010 semester.
The Phi Kappa Upsilon website has been put under construction! The navigation bar allows easier access to learn more information about our Fraternity. You can learn all about the history of our Fraternity. A new database has been implemented to display all of the Phi Kappa Upsilon Alumni, as well as the current Delta chapter. A wide display of activities are displayed to inform you about all the fun stuff we accomplish. The photo album is neatly organized by our awesome events during the year. We thank you for visiting our website and we wish you happiness in both your scholastic and social life through your academic years.

Last year Brother John Sammut gave Delta Chapter an opportunity to sell Live Sport Radios for a commission at University of Michigan football games. John is the CEO for Live Sports Radio, a company that enhances live sports for its viewers. The key to Live Sport’s radios is the re-broadcast of the Big House commentators into the special earpiece receiver. This allows fans to hear play by play as it happens with no delay.

The radio can be used at all home and away games for Michigan football and basketball this year. Last year Delta Chapter made over $4000 in Ann Arbor and this season to date the chapter has made about $2000 after only three games. Delta will work eight games this season including Penn State, Perdue, and Ohio State. For each game at least thirteen Delta members drive out to Ann Arbor and begin selling radios during pregame tailgating. This fundraiser is bringing in a lot of revenue for the Delta Chapter this fall.
